Fitz-Gerald <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE N0. 583, AS <br />AMENDED, BY INCREASING THE UNIFORM ALLOWANCE FOR NE[d POLICE- <br />MEN . <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 583, entitled "An Ordinance <br />to Provide for the Tenure and Compensation of Members of the Police Department, <br />and to Add the Position of Sergeant of Police and to Repeal Ordinance No. 479, <br />as Amended by Ordinance No. 548," as amended by Ordinance No. 1033, is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />The following compensation shall be paid, beginning as of January 1, <br />1969, but may be changed at any time by Council, by Ordinance or Resolu- <br />tion: <br />Overtime <br />Per Hourly <br />Year Rate. <br />Marshall or Chief of Police $10,740.00 - 0 - <br />Sergeant of Police 8,820.00 $3.80 <br />Patrolman (Probationary Six Months) 7,380.00 3.25 <br />Patrolman (Next Six Months) 7,680.00 3.25 <br />Patrolman (Next Twelve Months) 7,920.00 3.60 <br />Patrolman (Maximum) 8,220,00 3.60 <br />Any hours worked in excess of 40 in any one <br />week shall be considered as overtime. <br />Special Policeman: $3.00 per hour during which he serves on such an <br />assignment by the Mayor or Chief of Police. The total number of hours <br />to be served by all Special Policemen during any one week shall not <br />exceed 64, but Council may change the maximum number of hours at any <br />time by Ordinance or Resolution. Provided, however, that the Mayor, <br />at his discretion, may authorize the employment of Special Policemen <br />after their regular working hours, at the rate of $3.00 per hour, for <br />the purpose of service of summons and notices upon and arresting <br /> <br />
