~2 ~( <br />(2) <br />persons within and outside of the Village of Mayfield who have failed <br />to appear in the Mayor's Court of this Village in response to any <br />warrants, summons or arrest notice, or orders of the Mayor. Special <br />arrangements may be made by, Council with Special Policemen, whereby <br />they shall not be paid for police services performed in connection <br />with the operation of their own businesses or of businesses for which <br />they are compensated by the owners thereof. <br />"Uniform Allowance: <br />"In addition to his regular compensation, each newly <br />employed member of the Police Department shall be reimbursed in an <br />amount not exceeding $350.00 for the cost of uniforms purchased by <br />him for use in his Police work during his first year in such position. <br />Thereafter, each Policeman shall be reimbursed in an amount not to <br />exceed $175.00 per year for uniforms purchased by him. Reimbursement <br />in all cases must be supported by bills showing the cost of same. In <br />addition, each Special Policeman shall be likewise so reimbursed, <br />except that his maximum allowance for uniforms shall be $100.00 per <br />year. <br />"Hospitalization Insurance: <br />"In addition to their regular compensation, the Village <br />shall pay to Blue Cross of Northeast Ohio, Inc., the cost of hospital- <br />ization and medical mutual insurance for each regular member of the <br />Police Department. <br />"Outside Employment: <br />"No regular member of the Police Department shall work <br />at any other employment unless he has the written approval of the <br />Chief of Police, who shall not grant such approval unless he finds that <br />such outside employment will not, due to the nature of the work and <br />the hours to be worked, interfere with the efficiency of said member <br />of the Police Department." <br />Section 2. Ordinance No. 1033 is hereby repealed as of the effective <br />date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the <br />earliest period permitted by law. <br />Passed this 17th day of February, 1969.
