r <br />Sec. 1117.05 STREETS FOR APARTMENT DEVELOPMENTS <br />u <br />Streets serving apartment buildings shall be panned to connect with <br />ark rial or collector streets so as to not generate traffic on local resi- <br />dential streets. Vehicular and pedestrian access shall be adequate and <br />convenient to each dwelling unit; planned so that a streets service drive, ----- <br />parking area or delivery area will be located not more than 100 feet Prom <br />every main or service entrance of every apartment building. ' <br />The criteria for horizontal and vertical alignments intersections <br />and other design criteria of streets in apartment developments shall be <br />the same as the design criteria for one-family subdivisions. The <br />distinguishing feature is the heavier traffic volumes caused by the <br />greater population density. A'cul-de-sac street shall not exceed 300 <br />Peet in length. The minimum rights-of-way shall be not less than 60 <br />feet; the minimum paved surface between curbs shall be 32 feet. <br />Sec. 1117.06 STREETS FOR BOSINESS DEVELOPMENT'S <br />Streets serving business developments and accessory parking areas <br />shall be planned to connect with arterial streets so as to not geherate <br />traffic on local residential streets. The intersection of service streets <br />or driveways from parking areas with arterial or collector streets shall <br />be located so as to cause the least possible interference with the move- <br />went of traffic on the arterial streets, and wherever possible, shall <br />be located not less than 100 feet from the intersection of an arterial <br />or collector street, measured from the intersection of the projection of <br />the right-of-way lines or spaced not less than 200 feet. from each other: <br />Parking areas serving adjoining business establishments shall be <br />inter-connected by on-site drives and designed to provide the maximum ___ __. - <br /> <br />MvsR ~ -43- <br />
