SCHMIDT AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 159 BY ADDING THERETO, SEC. 31 CREATING A SENIOR CITIZENS HOUSING TYPE USE DISTRICT. WHEREAS; Council finds that a_,large amount of land in the Northwesterly portion of the Village of Mayfield, now zoned for residential and/or office laboratory uses, has never been used for said purpose, because of location, depths of parcels, lack of utilities, ingresses or egresses and other reasons, and WHEREAS; Council finds that a need type housing and dwelling units exists, will be conducive to the public health, prosperity, convenience and general wel the owners of said land and the Village more practical use; and for Senior Citizen and that such uses peace, safety, comfort, Eare, will provide of Mayfield with a WHEREAS; Council finds, that this amending Ordinance has been submitted to the Village Planning and Zoning Com- mission for approval, disapproval or suggestions, and that said Commission has allowed a reasonable time for considera- tion and report, and has approved the same in form and intent. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 159, The Zoning Ordinance of the V age o Mayfield, is hereby amended by adding Sections 31.1 to 31.9, both inclusive, reading as follows: "SECTION 31.1 DEFINITION OF SENIOR CITIZENS TYPE HOUSING SENIOR CITIZEN HOUSING-Means housing designed for elderly persons and retirees, which provides living unit accommodations, and areas for common, social and recreational activities, together with and which may include incidental facilities for health, nursing and personal services.
