(e) Council shall in every case reach a decision without unreasonable <br />or unnecessary delay. Every deeision of Council shall be by <br />resolution and shall be promptly filed with the Village Clerk- <br />Treasurer. A certified copy of the resolution shall be sent by <br />certified mail to the owner, return receipt requested. <br />(f) If Council shall determine that the owner is in violation of this <br />Chapter, its decision shall specify the particular sections of <br />this Chapter which have been violated and shall give the owner a <br />period of time deemed by Council to be reasottable, on the basis <br />of the extent of repairs required and other relevant factors, to <br />complete specified repairs or improvements or to demolish and <br />remove the dwelling or structure or a portion thereof. <br />Sec. 14. REPAIRS <br />(a) All repairs to existing dwellings or structures shall be subject <br />to inspection by the Building Inspector. <br />(b) pll repairs requiring the issuance of a building permit shall <br />be carried out in accordance wi.th the provisions of the applicable <br />Ordinances of the Village of Mayfield. <br />Sec. 15. DEMQLITION <br />? If`the owner of a dwelling or structure fails to comply with a <br />final order to repair or demolish a dwelling or structure then <br />the Building Inspector may cause the dwelling or structure to <br />be demolished_and the costs shall be assessed against the premises <br />itt accordance with Section 19 of this Ordinance. <br />Sec. 16. EMERGINCY ORDERS • <br />In cases of emergency which, in the opinion of the Building <br />Inspector, ittvolve immediate danger to human li.fe or health, said <br />Building Inspector shall with the approval of the Mayor or the <br />acting head of the Village Police or Fire Department promptly <br />cause such dwelling, structure, or portions thereof to be made <br />safe or to be removed. For this purpose he may at once enter <br />such dwelling or structure or land on whioh it stands, or abutting <br />land or structure, with such assistance at such cost as he may <br />deem necessary. He may order adjacent dwellings or structures <br />and premises to be vacated, and protect the public by an appropriate <br />fence or such other means as may be necessary, and for this purpose <br />may close a public or private way. <br />Sec. 17. PENALTY <br />Whoever violates any provisiotts of this Chapter or any order or <br />notice made hereunder, shall be gqilty oE a misdemeanor and, upon <br />conviction therefor, such person shall be fined not to exceed <br />$50.00 per day, and each day of violation shall constitute a <br />separate offense. <br />
