Shaw <br />AN ORDINANCE TO t1MEND SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE N0. 583, AS <br />ArIENDED, BY INCREASING THE COPIPENSATION OF MELSBERS OF THE <br />POLICE DEPARTMIIVT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VZLLAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, THAT: ' <br />Sec. 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 583, entitled; "An Ordinance to <br />Provide for the Tenure and Compensation of rfembers of the Police Department, <br />to Add the Position of Sergeant of Police and to Repeal Ordinance No. 479, <br />as Amended by Ordinance No. 548", as amended by Ordinance No. 981, is hereby <br />amended to read, as follows: <br />"Sec. 3. Compensation and Allowance for Uniforms. The follolaing <br />compensation shall be paid, beginning as of July 1, 1967, but may be <br />changed at any time by Council, by Ordinance or Resolution: <br />Marshall or Chief of Police <br />Overtime Hrly Rate <br />$10,000.00 per year 0 <br />Sergeant of Police: <br />During first two years <br />After two years service <br />Regular Policemen for 6 month <br />probationery period at rate of <br />Thereafter for his 2nd 6 month <br />of service at rate of <br />Thereafter during his 2nd 12 mos <br />of service at rate of <br />Thereafter at rate of <br />7,900.00 3.45 <br />8,200.00 3.55 <br />6,875.00 3.00 <br />7,125.00 3.10 <br />7,375.00 3.20 <br />7,625.00 3.35 <br />Any hours worked in excess of 44 <br />hours in any otte week shall be considered as overtime <br />Special Policeman <br />1 <br />$3.00 per hour during which he serves <br />on such att assignment by the Mayor or Chief of Police. The total number of hours <br />to be served by all Special Policemen during any one caeek shall not exceed 64, <br />but Council may change the°maximum number of hours at any time by ordinance or <br />resolution. Provided, however, that the Mayor at his discretion may authorize <br />the employment of Special Policemen after their regular working hours, at the <br />rate of $3.00 per hour, for the purpose of service of summons and notices upon <br />and arresting persons within and outside of the Village of Mayfield who have <br />failed to appear in the Nayor's Court of this Village in response to any warrants,
