ORDINANCE NO. 2008-32 <br />Page 2 <br />Building Commissioner and the responsible pa shall pay a ten dollar ($10.00) <br />fine for each sign remaining_after the deadline. <br />(6) Such signs shall not present a vision problem to vehicular traffic. <br />(7) Such signs shall be either parallel or perpendicular to the frontage <br />street of such property. <br />(8) There shall only be one sign per candidate per permanent parcel <br />number. <br />(9) Political signs shall be displayed in front yards only, and if a vacant lot, <br />shall be displayed in the front half of the yard. <br />(10) Signs shall be securely fastened to the support stakes or posts, and <br />inserted or anchored to the ground in such a fashion that weather conditions will not <br />cause them to fall, bend, lean or twist. <br />(11) Any damage to property caused by the signs shall be repaired <br />upon removal. <br />(12) Only the signs which are of candidates or issues which are on the <br />ballot for electors in the Municipality shall be permitted to be located within the <br />Municipality. <br />(13) Candidates are personally responsible to keep a constant watch on <br />their signs, to maintain such signs in good condition, and to insure their continual <br />compliance with this code. In the event signs are no lon eg r in good condition and <br />are found to be deteriorating= candidates are personall~ponsible to replace or <br />remove such signs immediately. <br />(14) At the time acandidate orhis/her representative takes out permits for <br />political signs, they shall sign a receipt indicating they have received a copy of the <br />Codified Ordinances pertaining to political sign regulations. Any violation of this <br />section shall cause notice from the Building Commissioner's office to the candidate, <br />who shall correct the violation immediately, but not more than seventy-two hours <br />from the time of the notification. Thereafter, the Building Commissioner shall have <br />the authority to remove such signs and place them in the Service Garage.
