The EOP provides a systematic approach to incident management by adopting <br />the Incident Command System (ICS). ICS enables effective and efficient <br />incident management by integrating a combination of facilities, equipment, <br />personnel, procedures, and communications operating within a common <br />organizational structure. <br />2.3 Situati®n ®verviewe <br />Mayfield Village has a total area of 3.96 square miles. Mayfield Village has <br />millions of dollars in infrastructure including a regional high-school, and <br />elementary school, nursing home and assisted living facilities, multiple business <br />campuses, public buildings, bridges, park land, and interstate (metropolitan <br />HAZMAT bypass route) and roadways. <br />Mayfield Village is subject to events that could potentially result in a large-scale <br />disaster. These events include: floods, urban/structural fires, tornadoes, <br />hazardous materials incidents, earthquakes, transportation accidents, droughts, <br />power failures, severe storms, civil disorder, heat waves, terrorism, nuclear power <br />incidents, port security breaches, and public health emergencies. Contributing <br />factors such as seasonal weather patterns, special events, and time of day have <br />an impact on the likelihood and severity of each hazard. <br />2.3.1 L®cati®n <br />Incorporated in 1920, Mayfield Village is situated in Northeast Cuyahoga County <br />and is bordered to the north by Willoughby Hills and Highland Heights, east by <br />Gates Mills, south by Mayfield Heights, and west by Highland Heights. <br />2.3.2 Ge®graphic <br />Mayfield Village contains the following geographic features.(lakes, rivers, <br />climate, annual precipitation, local parks/Metroparks, etc.) <br />1) Multiple community parks connected with a 2.3 mile multipurpose trail <br />ending in the Cleveland Metro Parks North Chagrin Reservation. <br />2) Avg.
