CECOMS will provide all police MDTs with the required 2-factor authentication (as mandated by
CJIS).
It is the responsibility of MV to negotiate their radio contract and pay the monthly user fees.
Users Group:
Cuyahoga County has established a Dispatch Users Group (DUG) which serves as a forum for
information exchange and discussion. The DUG includes representatives from all agencies of
which CECOMS dispatches. User group meetings are currently held not less frequently than four
(4) times a year, but as needed with the current client that CECOMS provides dispatch services
to. However, and to assist in the transition process, DUG meetings will be held as required to
facilitate program implementation. During the initial phases of implementation it is expected
that the User Group will meet regularly, even weekly. The Users Group will provide the serviced
municipalities an opportunity to express any issues, concerns, or suggestions. The Users Group
will be closely involved with the development and maintenance of Standard Operating
Guidelines, policies and protocols within the CECOMS Center.
Cost Schedule:
Cuyahoga County proposes a Full Dispatch Service Cost to Mayfield Village at a rate of $168,000
per year for three years.
There will be no initial fees or other buy-in costs. Following the initial three years of service,
Cuyahoga County will reassess the cost based on calls for service, staffing needs, or other
pertinent statistics and a revised user fee will be negotiated.
*All items and costs included in this proposal are pending Cuyahoga County Board of Control
and Cuyahoga County Council approval.
