Agreement Between Mayfield Village, Ohio and the International Association Firefighters, Local 2619 <br />ARTICLE 20 <br />OVERTIME <br />Section 20.1. Overtime shall be paid at one and one-half (1 ~~2) times the hourly wage as <br />calculated taking annual base salary, adding longevity, the paramedic stipend and education <br />benefit and dividing by two thousand, seven hundred fifty-six, (2,756) hours. Overtime shall be <br />taken as monetary payment on such basis for any hours worked in excess of one hundred fifty- <br />nine hours (159) hours in any one (1) work period. Vacation, holidays and optional holidays <br />used during any portion of the work week shall be counted for the purpose of determining the <br />existence of overtime worked during that period. Sick leave, bereavement leave and time paid <br />for any union business per Section 15 of this contract will not be counted as hours worked <br />toward the calculation of overtime. For the purpose of calculating overtime in a week that sick <br />hours are used, only the excess hours worked for that week shall be calculated by dividing the <br />base rate plus longevity by two thousand, seven hundred fifty six (2,756) hours and multiplying <br />by one. <br />Section 20.2. Anytime an employee is representing the Village in a legal matter as a court <br />witness or in a deposition, he or she shall be compensated at the employee's regular rate of time <br />if such court appearance is during the employee's regularly scheduled tour of duty. If the <br />employee is required to represent the Village at time other than his or her regular tour of duty <br />and the employee and the Village are not able to reschedule the employee's appearance during <br />his regularly scheduled tour of duty, then the Village will compensate the employee at his or her <br />appropriate rate of pay for such time. All compensation paid, by the court, to the employee shall <br />be turned over to the Finance Department. <br />ARTICLE 21 <br />SALARY SCHEDULE <br />Section 21.1.
