Agreement Between Mayfield Village, Ohio and the International Association Firefighters, Loca12619 <br />Section 21.2. Wages for 2003, 2004 and 2005 shall be in effect January 1 of each year and establish a <br />ten percent (10%) differential between the ranks of Class A-Third Year Firefighter and Class A- <br />Second Year Lieutenant. <br />Section 21.3. For responses to shift or general recalls, or any other call-in for fire calls and/or station- <br />manning by off-duty personnel, responding members shall receive a minimum pay of two (2) hours at <br />his or her appropriate rate of compensation for such hours. <br />Section 21.4. Effective January 1, 2003, all members of the bargaining unit certified as a paramedic <br />shall be paid a yearly premium of Two thousand, six hundred ninety-two dollars ($2,692.00). <br />Effective January 1, 2004 all members of the bargaining unit certified as a paramedic shall be paid a <br />yearly premium of Two thousand, eight hundred dollars ($2,800.00.00). Effective January 1, 2005 all <br />members of the bargaining unit certified as a paramedic shall be paid a yearly premium of Two <br />thousand, eight hundred ninety-eight dollars ($2,898.00.00).The premium shall be paid in monthly <br />installments over the calendar year. <br />Section 21.5. All employees, covered under this contract, which have earned an Associate Degree <br />relating to the field of their employment, shall be entitled to additional compensation equal to two <br />percent (2%) of their base pay. All employees, covered under this contract, who have earned a <br />Bachelor's Degree relating to the field of their employment, shall receive additional compensation <br />equal to four percent (4%) of their base pay. All employees, covered under this contract, who have <br />earned a Master's Degree relating to the field of their employment, shall be entitled to additional <br />compensation equal to six percent (6%) of their base pay. This benefit shall be paid in two (2) <br />installments, during January and July. <br />Section 21.6. Jury Duty, Travel, Conference and Other Expenses <br />1. Internal Revenue Service permissible payment as determined by the Finance Director per <br />mile is hereby allowed to reimburse employees of the Village who are required to make <br />trips on Village business in their own automobiles, other than transportation to and from <br />work, and to be paid from the Treasury upon approval of the Mayor and the Director of <br />Finance. <br />2. Any member of the Fire Department may attend, at the expense of the Village any <br />conference or convention relating to their scope of employment, if authorized by the <br />Department Head and the fiscal officer of the Village certifies that funds are appropriated <br />and available for such purpose. Such person shall be reimbursed for lodging and shall be <br />permitted aThirty-Five dollar ($35.00) per diem for meals for each day of travel. <br />3. All employees who are summoned to jury duty in the municipal, county or federal court <br />system, must advise their chief, and or director, immediately upon receiving same. If the <br />employee is scheduled to work during said scheduled jury duty, the employee will be paid <br />his regular compensation for that time period. The employee will then reimburse the <br />Village one hundred percent of all funds received from the court for said jury duty. An <br />employee who finishes his jury duty early, during the course of his shift, should report for <br />duty for the balance of his regular shift. Similarly, an employee will work as much of his or <br />her shift as possible before jury duty taking into account reasonable travel time. <br />Page 17 of 35 <br />
