Center Road.
PROTECT INFORMATION
Comparison of the planned f].oox elevation and existing surface
topography indicates that fall will be required throughout most
of the building area, Although the depth of moat of the required
fill is not expected to influence foundation Construction deeper
f~.J.l will be necessary in areas of the residential basements,
septic systems, and any other utility trench removal ox demoli-
tion excavations.
The results of our subsurface exploration indicate that the
subgrade soils are variable and include clay, silt, sand, anal
gravel . Altho~.gh of , th~a site ~ s subgrade soils are suitable for
use as fill, some may require moisture conditioning to enable
proper fill placement. A relatively high perched groundwater
level has also been identified and will need to be addressed
during site preparation,
WoRxscoP~
Based on the available information and our experience with pro-
~ects of similar magnitude, we anticipate that our scope of serv-
ices would include but net necessarily be limited to the follow-
ing; ~ .
Subgxades exposed after site strapping would be observed to
verify that topsoil, ,organics, or otherwa.se unsuitable materials
have been removed, Where accessible to large equipment, the
newly exposed subgrades would be proof-xol~.ed to help identify
soft unstable areas. In isolated excavations not accessible to
large equipment, the subgrade would be probed at close intervals
and evaluated. Areas of the subgrade found to be unstable would
Geotechnical • Geoenvironmental • tpnstructfon Materials Consultants
9375 Chillicothe Road, Kirtland, Ohio 44094-8501 • Hhone.(Z1 fi} 256-65Q4 • Cleveland (Z16) SSS-130 • Faix (216) 256-8507
~ €X}rl~}F ,~
