ORDINANCE 95-33 <br />described herein will be prorated on a monthly basis beginning the fast month in which the employee would have <br />received the benefit under the plan provided by the Village. <br />4. Sections 1, 2 and 3 above shall be reviewed at the end of fiscal year 1996 and reconsidered as to all aspects. <br />K. Overtime <br />1.Overtime will be paid in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. as amended. <br />2. All overtime shall be approved in advance by the Mayor unless there exists an emergency that threatens the <br />health, safety or welfare of the Municipality. <br />3. If an employee is scheduled for training or seminars while on vacation or holiday, the employee shall be paid <br />regular time and restored that vacation or holiday time lost. No overtime will be paid in this situation . <br />4. Time changes relevant to day light savings shall not entitle the Village to dock pay nor to pay additional time <br />on those days, as same will balance out. <br />L. 7urv Dutv Travel. Conference and Other Expense <br />1. Internal Revenue Service permissible payment as determined by Finance Director per mile, is hereby allowed to <br />reimburse employees of the City who are required to make trips on City business in their own automobiles, other <br />than transportation to and. from work, to be paid from the Treasury upon approval of the Mayor and the Director <br />of Finance. This sum shall be paid to all employees, elected or appointed, full or part-time. <br />2. Any elected or appointed Municipal officer, deputy or assistant or an employee of the Municipal Corporation, <br />may attend, at the expense of the Municipal Corporation, any conference or convention relating to municipal <br />affairs if authorized by the Mayor and the Department Head, and if the fiscal officer of the Municipal Corporation <br />certifies that funds are appropriated and available for such purpose. Such person shall be reimbursed for meals and <br />lodging. <br />3. Each police officer, excluding the Chief of Police, shall be compensated in addition to the salary set forth in <br />Section 1, for attendance required in Court if such appearance occurs while the police officer is not on duty. The <br />police officer under these circumstances shall be paid at the officer's hourly rate as set forth in Subsection (A) <br />hereinabove and shall receive a minimum of two (2) hours compensation. <br />4. In the event that an hourly employee is required to report for any duties other than those on his regular shift <br />then such employee shall be compensated for such additional duties at his appropriate rate of pay as set forth in <br />Subsection (A) hereinabove. Under these circumstances, each such employee shall be paid a minimum of two (2) <br />hours compensation. <br />5. All employees who are summoned to jury duty in the municipal, county or federal court system, must advise <br />their chief, and or director, immediately upon receiving same. If the employee is scheduled to work during said <br />scheduled jury duty, the employee will be paid his regular compensation for that time period. The employee will <br />then reimburse the Village one hundred percent of all funds received from the court for said jury duty. An <br />employee who finishes his jury duty early, during the course of his shift, should report for duty for the balance of <br />his regular shift. Similarly, an employee will work as much a his or her shift as possible before jury duty taking <br />into account reasonable travel time. An employee whose shift is scheduled immediately before or immediately <br />after the jury duty will be excused from said.shift, with pay. <br />13 WAGE ORDINANCE <br />
