Always test for oxygen <br />first in a hazardous atmosphere. <br />5) Toxic Substance - any substance that can cause acute or chronic injury to <br />the human body (i.e. hydrogen sulfide toxic alarm - 10 ppm). <br />b. Mechanical Hazards <br />1) Electrical shock <br />2) Falling objects <br />3) Machinery within the work place having moving parts <br />c. Biological <br />1) Bacteria/viruses <br />2. The measures for isoIation of the pernut space; <br />3. The measures used to remove or control potential hazards such as <br />lockoutltagout, purging, inerting, ventilating and flushing; <br />4. Acceptable environmental conditions, quantified with regard to the hazards <br />identified in the permit space, which must be maintained during entry; <br />? 5. Testing and monitoring equipment and procedures by which the milacfivill verify <br />that acceptable environmental conditions are being met before entry and are <br />being maintained during entry. <br />6. The rescue and other secvices which would be summoned in case of emergency <br />and the means of communication of those services; <br />7. Rescue equipment to be provided on-site, if necessary. <br />8. The communication procedures and equipment used by authorized entrants and <br />attendants to maintain contact; <br />9.
