The ?7.?7]ap?will provide contractors with all the available information on permit <br />space hazards which the contractor needs to be aware of in order to comply with <br />this standard. <br />2. Coordinate entry operations with the contractor, when both District personnel <br />and contractor personnel will be working in or near permit spaces. <br />3. Debrief the contractor at the conclusion of the entry operations regarding the <br />pernut space program followed and regarding any hazards confronted or created <br />in permit spaces during entry operations. <br />4. Responsibility for the health and safety of contractor personnel remains that of <br />the contractor. <br />5. Although the NM*vill assist during any emergency involving contractor <br />personnel, the responsibility for the health and safety of.such personnel remains <br />that of the contractor. <br />IV. Pernut System <br />A. Before entry is authorized, the entry supetvisor will document the completion of <br />measures required by Section III - Permit Required Confined Space Proizram <br />B. Before entry begins, the entry supervisor identified on the permit will sign the entry <br />pernut to authorize entry. <br />C. The completed pernut will be made available at the time of entry to all authorized <br />entrants, by posting it at the entry portal or by any other equally effective means, so <br />that the entrants can confirm that pre-entry preparations have been completed. <br />D. The duration of the pernut may not exceed the time required to complete the assigned <br />task or job identified on the permit. <br />13.
