4) The attendant detects an uncontrolled hazard within the pernut space. <br />5) The attendant must leave the work station or perform duties that might <br />interfere with the attendant's primary duty to monitor and protect entrant. <br />6) The attendant observes any other situation that, in the attendant's <br />judgment warrants evacuation. <br />c. Attendant must summon rescue and other emergency services as soon as the <br />attendant determines that the authorized entrants need to escape from permit <br />space hazards. <br />d. Attendant must take the following actions as necessary, when unauthorized <br />persons approach or enter a pernut space while entry is under way. <br />1) Warn the unauthorized persons away from the space. <br />2) Request the unauthorized persons to exit immediately if they have <br />entered the pernut space. <br />3) Inform the authorized entrants and any other designated persons if <br />unauthorized persons have entered the permit space: <br />, 4. Rescue - The entry supervisor shall ensure that attendants: <br />a. Do not enter the permit space to attempt rescue of entrants. <br />b. Properly use any rescue equipment provided for their use and perform any <br />other assigned rescue and emergency duties, without entering permit space. <br />c. Enter confined space only if heJshe has been trained in confined space rescue <br />and if another attendant is present for backup. <br />18.
