ORDINANCE NO. 94- 20 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 1157.06(a), SECTION 1181.01 <br />AND SECTION 1181.07(c) LIMITING THE MAXIMUM <br />HEIGHT OF ACCESSORY BUILDINGS IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS, <br />AND AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF "HEIGHT OF BUILDING" <br />IN SECTIONS 1113.10 AND 1145.01(e) <br />WHEREAS, the Ordinance Review Committee has recommended a <br />limitation on the maximum height of an accessory building in <br />residential districts to be fifteen feet; and <br />WHEREAS, this matter is an amendment to the Zoning Code <br />covered by Article III, Section 13 and Section 14, requiring same <br />to be referred to the Planning Commission, a public hearing, and a <br />vote of the electors not sooner than sixty days after referral of <br />same to the Board of Elections; and <br />WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the Ordinance Review Committee <br />and the Planning and Zoning Commission, this Council has adopted <br />this Ordinance pursuant to law. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OH2O, THAT: <br />SECTION l. That Section 1157.06 of the Codified Ordinances is ± <br />hereby and herein amended to read as follows: - <br />1157.06 ACCESSORY USES. <br />(a) An accessory use customarily incident to a Class U- <br />1, U-2 or U-3 use shall also be permitted in, respectively, a <br />Class U-1, U-2 or U-3 District, provided such accessory use is <br />located upon the same lot with the building or use to which it <br />is accessory. In a U-1 or U-2 District, the total area of any <br />above ground structure, not including swimming pools, or <br />buildings directly related to the use or operation of swimming <br />pools, erected separately from the main use structure on any <br />one lot shall not exceed: <br />(1) 480 square feet if its use is for storage of a <br />motor vehicle, recreational vehicle or other <br />vehicle; (2) 675 square feet if its use is for storage of a <br />motor vehicle, recreational`,vehicle or other <br />vehicle but also includes a tool shed or other <br />storage area; <br />(3) 192 square feet if its use is as a tool shed <br />or other storage building; <br />_C41 No accessory use referred to herein shall <br />exceed 15 feet in height. <br />* * * <br />(2)
