Signs. <br />CHAPTER 1145 <br />Definitions <br />1145m 01 Definitions. <br />CROSS REFERENCES <br />Family defined - see P. & Z. 1113.07(a), 1157.03(a) <br />Use defined - see P. & Z. 1113.24 <br />Variance defined - see P. & Z. 1113.25 <br />1145.01 DEFINITIONS. <br />Certain words in this Zoning Code are defined for the purposes hereof as follows: <br />(a) Words used in the present tense include the future; the singular number includes <br />the plural and the plura.l the singular; the word "lot" includes the word "plot", <br />the word T'buildillg" includes the word "structure". <br />(b) "Street line" means the dividing line between the street and the lot. <br />(c) "Esta.blished grade" means the elevation of the street curb as fixed by the <br />Municipality. <br />(d) "Natural grade" means the elevation of the undisturbed natural surface of the <br />ground adjoining the building. Passed 5-20-35.) <br />(e) "Height of a building" means the vertical distance measured at the center line <br />of its principal front from the established grade or from the natural grade, i.f <br />higher than the established grade, to the level of the highest point in the coping <br />of flat roofs or to the deck line of a mansard roof or to the top of the <br />peak of a gable, hip or similar type roof.
