AGRBMNT <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into on the date hereinafter set <br />forth but effective as of January 1, 1994, by and between THE VILLAGE OF <br />:MAYFIELD, OHIO, hereinaf ter referred to as the "EMPLOYER", and the <br />FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE, LODGE #57, MAYFIELD VILLAGE DIVISION, <br />hereinafter referred to as the "FOP". <br />ARTICLB 1 <br />PURFOSS <br />Section 1.1. The purposes of this Agreement are to provide a fair and <br />reasonable method by which employees covered by this agreement can <br />participate through their exclusive bargaining agent in the establishment <br />of terms and conditions of their employment,,to provide for the effective <br />and efficient operation of the Village government, and to establish an <br />orderly procedure for the resolution of differences between the Employer <br />and the members of the bargaining unit. <br />ARTICLB 2 <br />UNDBR RSCOGNITION <br />Section 2.1. The EMPLOYER recognizes the F.O.P., Lodge #57, MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE DIVISION, as the sole and exclusive representative for those <br />employees of the Employer in the bargaining units listed in Section 2.2. <br />- Whenever used in this Agreement, the term "bargaining unit(s)" shall be <br />deemed to include those full-time employees employed by the Employer, in a <br />classification listed as appropriate to a bargaining unit. The parties <br />recognize and agree that this Agreement constituteg a multiple unit <br />Agreement and, unless eliminated specifically by clause, all provisions of <br />the Agreement apply equally to both units. <br />Section 2.2. The term "bargaining unit" shall be defined as follows: <br />HarQainincr Unit A, All sworn Patrol Officers. <br />Baraaininct Unit B: All sworn Sergeants and Lieutenants. <br />Section 2.3. All positions and classifications not specifically stated <br />herein as being included in the bargaining units shall be excluded from the <br />bargaining units. 1 <br />
