Jury Duty Travel Conference and Other Expense 1. Internal Revenue Service permissible payment as determined by Finance Director per mile, is hereby allowed to reimburse employees of the City who are required to make trips on City business in their own automobiles, other than transportation to and from work, to be paid from the Treasury upon approval of the Mayor and the Director of Finance. This sum shall be paid to all employees, elected or appointed, full or part-time. 2. Any elected or appointed Municipal officer, deputy or assistant or an employee of the Municipal Corporation, may attend, at the expense of the Municipal Corporation, any conference or convention relating to municipal affairs if authorized by the Mayor and the Department Head, and if the fiscal officer of the Municipal Corporation certifies that funds are appropriated and available for such purpose. Such person shall be reimbursed for meals and lodging. 3. Each police officer, excluding the Chief of Police, shall be compensated in addition to the salary set forth in Section 1, for attendance required in Court if such appearance occurs while the police officer is not on duty.
