ORDINANCE NO. 92-14 <br />PAGE TWO <br />(c) The Community Relations Coordinator shall be paid a <br />salary of $2,400.00 per annum. The Community Relations <br />Coordinator shall be a part-time position and such person <br />shall not be eligible for employment benefits accorded to <br />full time employees of the municipality. <br />(d) The Coordinator shall be responsible for conducting <br />and coordinating the following activities within the <br />municipality: <br />(1) Promote the expansion of community <br />relation programs between all departments of <br />the Village and the citizenry of Mayfield <br />Village, so as to enhance the community's <br />awareness of the services available, and <br />mechanisms by which improved relations between <br />the employees of the Village and the residents <br />can be enhanced; <br />(2) Aid each of the service and safety <br />departments in becoming more community service <br />oriented by working with suggestions from <br />citizens as well as employees; <br />(3) Provide specialized training to Village <br />employees in the areas of human relations, <br />community relations, officer violator <br />contacts, intradepartmental relations, <br />supervisor/subordinate relations, etc.; <br />(4) Establish and implement safety programs <br />for residents and businesses throughout the <br />community; <br />(5) Establish and implement an annual Safety <br />Services Day for elementary age children and <br />teenagers throughout the Village, emphasizing <br />motor vehicle safety, drug awareness, school <br />bus activities, "home alone" awareness for <br />children, to be conducted by skilled <br />professionals in such a manner as to be <br />interesting and attractive to children; <br />(6) Provide direct assistance to the Mayor <br />for enhancing the awareness in citizens of <br />services available; coordinating the <br />deliverance of services and safety programs to <br />the community, and coordinating efforts <br />between all departments of the Village to <br />streamline areas of responsibility for <br />services to the community, and to provide a <br />mechanism and to implement same for community <br />
