ORDINANCE NO. 92-14 PAGE TWO (c) The Community Relations Coordinator shall be paid a salary of $2,400.00 per annum. The Community Relations Coordinator shall be a part-time position and such person shall not be eligible for employment benefits accorded to full time employees of the municipality. (d) The Coordinator shall be responsible for conducting and coordinating the following activities within the municipality: (1) Promote the expansion of community relation programs between all departments of the Village and the citizenry of Mayfield Village, so as to enhance the community's awareness of the services available, and mechanisms by which improved relations between the employees of the Village and the residents can be enhanced; (2) Aid each of the service and safety departments in becoming more community service oriented by working with suggestions from citizens as well as employees; (3) Provide specialized training to Village employees in the areas of human relations, community relations, officer violator contacts, intradepartmental relations, supervisor/subordinate relations, etc.; (4) Establish and implement safety programs for residents and businesses throughout the community; (5) Establish and implement an annual Safety Services Day for elementary age children and teenagers throughout the Village, emphasizing motor vehicle safety, drug awareness, school bus activities, "home alone" awareness for children, to be conducted by skilled professionals in such a manner as to be interesting and attractive to children; (6) Provide direct assistance to the Mayor for enhancing the awareness in citizens of services available; coordinating the deliverance of services and safety programs to the community, and coordinating efforts between all departments of the Village to streamline areas of responsibility for services to the community, and to provide a mechanism and to implement same for community
