Business: In addition to retention of all existing business
land uses, an Option Area is suggested on SOM Center south
of Georgian Center.
Industrial: Completion of industrial development on Beta
Drive and additional office uses on SOM Center between Mount
Vernon Square and Georgian Center.
Public: In addition to expansion of existing municipal
facilities on SOM Center, and new rights-of-way and common
open space, three Option Areas are delineated for Village
municipal facilities: Wilson Mills/SOM Center, Beta/SOM
Center and SOM Center immediately south of Georgian Center.
Finally, while classified as commercial recreation, Parkview
Golf Course clearly represents an essential open space area
within the community. Its importance in meeting recreation
needs as well as fostering viable residential development both
to the north and south is evident. Accordingly, it is strongly
recommended that Parkview Golf Course be retained.
