RESOLUTION N0.2006-15 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND FINANCE DIRECTOR TO SEEK <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE STATE ISSUE I CLEAN OHIO <br />PROGRAM FOR FUNDING FOR PHASE I OF THE MAYFIELD VILLAGE GREEN <br />CORRIDOR PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the State of Ohio is authorized to issue bonds and other obligations of the <br />State for the purpose of financing the acquisition of green space and the rehabilitation of riparian <br />areas of political subdivisions as designated by law; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code, the Cuyahoga County Natural <br />Resources Assistance Council (NRAC) has been created to accept, evaluate and recommend <br />applications for state financing of green space acquisition projects and riparian rehabilitation <br />projects of political subdivisions in Cuyahoga County; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code, the Ohio Public Works Commission <br />has been created to accept and approve applications for state financing of green space <br />acquisition and riparian rehabilitation projects of political subdivisions in Cuyahoga County; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Village has conducted a needs assessment and has determined that it <br />is necessary to submit applications for financial assistance for Green Space Acquisition and <br />Riparian Improvement Projects. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply directly to the Ohio Public <br />Works Commission for the following capital infrastructure improvement projects: <br />Phase I of the Mayfield Village Green Corridor Project <br />SECTION 2. That the Mayor is further authorized to enter into any agreements as may be <br />necessary and appropriate for obtaining this financial assistance, as approved as to form by the <br />Village Law Director, and in accordance with all authority granted to and limitations upon the <br />Village Director of Finance.. <br />
