1VIE1dIORAliTDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
This Agreement supplements the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Mayfield Viliage ("Village")
and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 57 ("F.O.P.") effective January 1, 2006, through December 31, 2010 and
is the complete and final agreement on the subject covered without reference to any other agreement.
1. No other term or condition of the Collective Bargaining Agreement applies to this Memorandum of
Agreement.
2. In the event that any safety force union receives a labor contract settlement through a negotiated agreement,
fact-finding, and/or conciliation award applicable to calendar years 2006-2010, that is economically more
beneficial than that safety force currently has and more beneficial than that is offered or agreed,
recommended or awarded to the F.O.P., in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, then the Village and the
F.O.P. are required to meet and renegotiate the specific matters(s) at issue. The F.O.P. shall make its
demand to reopen on every subject to which it believes this agreement applies not later than the expiration
of this Memorandum of Agreement. The Employer shall have the right to present any evidence that the
change also involved less or reduced benefits in other areas. The Village agrees to make available to the
F.O.P. the collective bargaining agreement of any other safety force within 30 days of its adoption.
3. This Memorandum of Agreement shall be effective and remain in force and effect from the adoption of the
Collective Bargaining Agreement until the commencement of the last collective bargaining agreement
succeeding to a collective bargaining agreement between the Village and other union representing a unit of
safety forces expiring in 2005.
4. This Memorandum of Understanding will expire on December 31, 2010 and shall be deemed null and void
as of that date. Furthermore, the entering into this Memorandum shall be deemed as non-precedential and
shall not be offered as evidence in any fact finding or conciliation hearing involving a successor agreement.
FOR MAYFIELD
s?
DATED: ?
FOR THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF
POLICE, LODGE 57
t
DATED: lJ / 9 - U
