Agreement between Mayfield Village and F.O.P. Lodge 57 <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into on the date hereinafter set forth but effective <br />as of January 1, 2006, by and between MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, hereinafter referred to as the <br />"BMPLOYER", and the FR.ATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE, LODGE 957, MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE DIVISION, hereinafter referred to as the "FOP". <br />ARTICLE 1 <br />PURPOSE <br />Section 1.1. The purposes of this Agreement are to provide a fair and reasonable method by <br />which employees covered by this agreement can participate through their exclusive bargaining <br />agent in the establishment of terms and conditions of their employment, to provide for the effective <br />and efficient operation of the Village government, a.rid to establish an orderly procedure for the <br />resolution of differences between the Employer and the members of the bargaining unit. <br />AR7'ICLE 2 <br />UNlOliT RECOGNITION <br />Section 2.1. The EMPLOYER recognizes the F.O.P., Lodge #57, MAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />DIVISION, as the sole and exclusive representative for those employees of the Employer in the <br />bargaining units listed in Section 2.2. Whenever used in this Agreement, the term "bargaining <br />unit(s)" shall be deemed to include those full-time employees employed by the Employer, in a <br />classification listed as appropriate to a bargaining unit. The parties recognize and agree that this <br />Agreement constitutes a multiple unit Agreement and, unless eliminated specifically by clause, all <br />provisions of the Agreement apply equally to both units. <br />Section 2.2. The term "bargaining unit" shall be defined as follows: <br />Bargaining Unit A: All sworn Patrol Officers. <br />Bargauung Unit B: All sworn Sergeants and Lieutenants. <br />Section 2.3. All positions and classifications not specifically stated herein as being included in <br />the bargaining units sha11 be excluded from the bargaining units. <br />6/1/2006 Page 1 of 36
