163 Signs 1185.99 <br />1185.18 PROHIBITED SIGNS. <br />The following signs are prohibited in all districts within the Municipality; <br />(a) Signs which bear or contain statements, words or pictures of an obscene, <br />pornographic or immoral character, or which contain advertising matter <br />which is deceptive or untruthful; <br />(b) Flashing signs; <br />(c) Signs which are placed on utility poles, trees, fences, yard structures or <br />other signs; <br />(d) Attraction devices; <br />(e) Billboards, portable signs, roof signs, projection signs and all similar signs; <br />(f) Abandoned signs; <br />(g) Neon signs; <br />(h) Signs which are placed on or over a Municipal, county or State right-of-way <br />except as may otherwise be provided in this chapter; <br />(i) Mural or pictorial signs; and <br />(j ) Vehicle signs. <br />(Ord. 85-16. Passed 7-21-86.) <br />1185.19 CONFORMITYo <br />All signs located within the Municipality as of the effective date of this section shall <br />be in full conformity with the provisions of this chapter within five years from its <br />_ effective date. (Ord. 85-16a Passed 7-21-86. ) <br />1185.20 SEVERABILITY. <br />If any provision of this chapter or the application thereof to any person or <br />circumstances are held invalid or unconstitutional by any Court of competent jurisdiction, <br />such provision shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision, and <br />neither the remainder of the chapter nor the application of such provision to other <br />persons or circumstances shall be affected thereby. <br />(Ord. 85-16. Passed 7-21-86e) <br />1185.21 REVIEW. <br />This chapter shall be reviewed by the Building Commissioner and Council every <br />three years in order to modify, alter or update its provisions or application if necessary <br />or desired. (Ord. 85-16. Passed 7-21-86.) <br />1185.99 PENALTY. <br />Whoever violates the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor <br />of the second degree. Each day that a sign is erected or maintained in violation of this. <br />chapter shall constitute a separate and distinct offense. <br />(Ord. 85-16. Passed 7-21-86.) <br />1994 Repl acement
