121.12 ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 24 <br />121.12 AUTHORIZING POLICE AND FIRE RESPONSE OUTSIDE MAYFIELD VILLAGE. _ <br />(a) Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 9.60 and 737.041, as amended, Council hereby authorizes <br />the' Chiefs of the Police and Fire Departments, and the officers on duty in charge of the <br />Police and Fire Departments, to render the services of those departments to other munici- <br />palities, townships, counties or the State in times of emergency, whether or not the <br />Municipality has entered into mutual aid contracts for police or fire services with any <br />of those political subdivisions or the State. The determination of "times of emergency" <br />shall be made only by the Chiefs of the Police and Fire Departments, or the officers <br />on duty in. charge of the Police and .Fire Departments, upon a call for emergency <br />police or fire protection services by the State or another political subdivision of this <br />State. <br />(b) The personnel of the Police and Fire- Departments rendering emergency services <br />to other political subdivisions shall, as provided by State law, be entitled to all of <br />their usual wages and benefits, shall be covered by Workers' Compensation and shall be <br />immune from any liability arising from the reasonable, good-faith rendering of <br />emergency police and fire protection services.
