7/16/90 <br />ORDINANCE N0. 90-21 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />ENACTING CHAPTER 1127 PERTAINING TO THE <br />ADOPTION OF THE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT <br />AND URBAN SEDIMENT POLLUTION ABATEMENT RULES <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, Village Engineer, Stephen Hovancsek, has recommended that <br />Mayfield village adopt the Stormwater Management and Urban Sediment Pollution <br />Abatement Rules; and. <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to control the pollution of public waters <br />from accelerated soil erosion and sedimentation caused by earth disturbing <br />activities and land. use changes connected with development of land grading, <br />excavating, removal or destruction. of natural topsoil, trees or other cover- <br />ings on or from land; and. <br />WHEREAS, the Council. of Mayfield Village intends to adopt the Stormwater <br />Management and Urban. Sediment Pollution Abatement Rules and require all. new <br />construction in Mayfield Village., to be in compliance with these. Rules; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL. OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT.: <br />SECTION 1. That Part 11, Planning and Zoning Code, of the Codified <br />Ordinances of Mayfield.Village is hereby amended to include Chapter 1127, <br />Stormwater Management and Urban. Sediment Pollution Abatement, as a newly <br />enacted Chapter of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, which shall <br />read. as follows: <br />Chapter 1127 <br />Stormwater Management and Urban Sediment Pollution Abatement <br />1127.01 Standards and Criteria. <br />The Stormwater Management and Urban Sediment. Pollution Abatement <br />Rules are hereby adopted for the purpose of establishing recommended <br />standards and criteria to abate erosion of the soil and degration of <br />the waters in conjunction with land grading, excavating., filling or <br />other soil activities. <br />
