03/19/90 PESOLUTION N0. 90- 19 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH BOB JONES PROMOTIONAL ATTRACTIONS, INC. FOR A PETTING ZO0 ATTRACTION AT VILLAGE HOMEDAYS IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE THOUSAND EIGHT IiUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($3,850.00) AND DECLARING AND EMERGENCY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract for a petting zoo attraction at Village Homedays with Bob Jones Promotional Attractions, Inc. at Village Homedays in the amount not to exceed Three Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars ($3,850.00). SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that it is necessary to insure quality attractions for the Village Homedays. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. _ . ~' <~,~ LILL AN M.
