In addition to those paid holidays authorized by Ordinance, each <br />permanent full-time employee shall be entitled to three (3) "optional days" <br />as paid holidays.. <br />2. If an employee's work schedule is other than Monday through <br />Friday, he shall be entitled to a day's regular pay for a holiday observed <br />on his day off,• regardless of the day of the week on which it is observed. <br />3. Compensation for Holidays Worked. If a full-time employee works <br />on one of,the above-designated holidays, he shall be compensated at the <br />rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times his hourly rate for each hour worked <br />and shall be given compensatory time off equal to the number of hours <br />iorked, with such compensatory time off to be first approved by the
