M.V. ORDINANCE 91- Page 16 L. Overtime 1. Overtime will be paid in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, as amended. 2. All overtime shall be.approved in advance by the Mayor unless there exists an emergency that threateris the health, safety and welfare of the Municipality. M. Travel Allowance and Conference Expense 1. Twenty-seven cents ($.27) per mile is hereby allowed to reimburse employees of the City who are required to make trips on City business in their own automobiles, other than transportation to and from work, to be paid from the Treasury upon approval of the Mayor and the Director of Finance. 2. Any elected or appointed Municipal officer, deputy or assistant or an employee of the Municipal Corporation, may attend, at the expense of the Municipal Corporation, any conference or convention relating to municipal affairs if authorized by the Mayor and the Department Head, and if the fiscal officer of the Municipal Corporation certifies that funds are appropriated and available for such purpose. Such person shall be reimbursed for meals and lodging. N. Educational Benefit All permanent full-time employees who have earned an Associate Degree relating to the field of their employment shall be entitled to additional compensation equal to two percent (2%) of their base pay. All full-time employees who have earned a Bachelor's Degree related to their field of employment shall receive additional compensation equal to four percent (4%) of their base pay. 0.
