Section 1185.15(d)(4) of the codified ordinance <br />-, of Mayfield Village is hereby amended by deleting the requirement <br />that ground signs in the local business and small office building <br />district be installed or erected perpendicular to the'roadway so <br />that new section 1185.15(d)(4) shall read as follows: <br />Chapter 1185 <br />Signs <br />* * * <br />1185.15 MOTORIST SERVICE, OFFICE LABORATORY AND PRODUCTION <br />DISTRIBUTION DISTRICTS. <br />Accessory signs in motorist service, office laboratory and <br />production distribution districts shall be designed, erected, <br />altered, moved and maintained, in whole or?in part, in accordance <br />with the following regulations: Areas sha1T be the same as the <br />requirements of Section 1185.14, except as otherwise stated <br />herein. <br />(d) Signs Permitted. Following are the regulations <br />for all signs permitted in the districts covered <br />under this section. No sign permitted in any of <br />the districts shall be less than fifteen feet to <br />the side lot line. <br />(4) Ground signs. One ground sign,not exceeding <br />six feet in height above natural grade shall <br />be permitted. Such ground sign shall be not <br />less than thirty feet from the right-of-way <br />line. Such sign shallbe located on the same <br />lot as the business or service to which it <br />directs attention. Supporting columns and <br />structural trim of rourid or square shaped <br />configurations may be used, but in the event <br />the cross sectional area of such supports or <br />trim exceeds twenty-five percent (25%) of the <br />sign face area, the sign face area shall be <br />reduced in size by the'amount of the excess. <br />The ground sign may also be used for the same <br />purpose as a nameplate?`sign. <br />SECTION 3. All prior Ordinances incorisistent with this <br />Ordinance, in whole or in part, are repealed to the extent <br />necessary to avoid conflict with this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, <br />resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to <br />the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code.
