M.V. Ordinance 91-49 <br />: Page 2 - - <br />SECTION 1. Pursuant to Article VII of the Charter of Mayfield Village, Oh,io, the Village Council proposes Ordinance <br />No. 91-35 to be submitted to the electorate of the Municipality <br />for their approval or rejection at a special election to be held <br />on the fourth (4th) day of February, 1992.; A copy of Ordinance <br />No. 91-35, passed on July 29, 1991 by the Council.of Mayfield <br />Village, is attached hereto and incorporated?herein, (See <br />Exhibit A). "The proposed Ordinance'shall be designated by a <br />ballot question number and shall read as fqllows: <br />Shall Ordinance No. 91-35, passed July 29, <br />1991, which declared the necessity and <br />intention of appropriating certain property, <br />commonly known as Parkview Golf Course, for <br />public.park purposes, including a municipal <br />golf course, be enacted into law?. <br />SECTION 2. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and <br />directeci to certify a copy of this Ordinance to the Cuyahoga <br />County Board of Elections for approval or rejection by the <br />electorate of Mayfield Village,.Ohio, at the Special Election to <br />be held on February 4, 1992, and to take whatever other steps are <br />necessary .in order to comply with all directives of the said . <br />Board of Elections in order to secure placement on the ballot as <br />aforesaid. <br />SECTION 3. The Director of Law is hereby author:ized and <br />directed to corifer with the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, and the Secretary of State for the State of Ohio <br />regarding the ballot question and to make any changes necessary <br />to comply with current election law so long as the substance of <br />any issue is not changed. In the event of';the necessity of a <br />substantial change of any issue,ithe Council shall first be <br />consulted. _ <br />; <br />SECTION 4. The Clerk of Council is,hereby authorized and <br />directed to either mail a copy of the full text of the proposed <br />Ordinance at least thirty (30) days prior to the date of the <br />election as set forth in this ordinance to"each elector of the <br />Municipality whose name appears upon the registration books for <br />the last regular election held in the Municipality or shall cause <br />the full text of the p,roposed Ordinance tolbe published_.once.a <br />week for not less thari two (2) consecutive;weeks in a riewspaper <br />of general circulation in the Municipality`;with the first <br />publication being at least fifteen (15) days prior to the <br />election. ,
