M.V. Ordinance 91-49 : Page 2 - - SECTION 1. Pursuant to Article VII of the Charter of Mayfield Village, Oh,io, the Village Council proposes Ordinance No. 91-35 to be submitted to the electorate of the Municipality for their approval or rejection at a special election to be held on the fourth (4th) day of February, 1992.; A copy of Ordinance No. 91-35, passed on July 29, 1991 by the Council.of Mayfield Village, is attached hereto and incorporated?herein, (See Exhibit A). "The proposed Ordinance'shall be designated by a ballot question number and shall read as fqllows: Shall Ordinance No. 91-35, passed July 29, 1991, which declared the necessity and intention of appropriating certain property, commonly known as Parkview Golf Course, for public.park purposes, including a municipal golf course, be enacted into law?. SECTION 2. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directeci to certify a copy of this Ordinance to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections for approval or rejection by the electorate of Mayfield Village,.Ohio, at the Special Election to be held on February 4, 1992, and to take whatever other steps are necessary .in order to comply with all directives of the said . Board of Elections in order to secure placement on the ballot as aforesaid. SECTION 3. The Director of Law is hereby author:ized and directed to corifer with the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and the Secretary of State for the State of Ohio regarding the ballot question and to make any changes necessary to comply with current election law so long as the substance of any issue is not changed. In the event of';the necessity of a substantial change of any issue,ithe Council shall first be consulted. _ ; SECTION 4. The Clerk of Council is,hereby authorized and directed to either mail a copy of the full text of the proposed Ordinance at least thirty (30) days prior to the date of the election as set forth in this ordinance to"each elector of the Municipality whose name appears upon the registration books for the last regular election held in the Municipality or shall cause the full text of the p,roposed Ordinance tolbe published_.once.a week for not less thari two (2) consecutive;weeks in a riewspaper of general circulation in the Municipality`;with the first publication being at least fifteen (15) days prior to the election. ,
