<br />4) Tra6ning costs: Atlowabie training-related costs under this program includG the
<br />establishment, support, conduct, and attendance of DIIS-approved training programs. These
<br />training programs include, but are not iimited to, CBRNE terrorism and catastrpphic events,
<br />t;yber/agriculture/food sccurity, and citizcn preparcdness. Training conductcd must address at
<br />least one of the Urban Area's Investment Yn'r¢iatives and thus be defined 'rn thc respectiwe
<br />Praject Narrative.
<br />As pcr 1`ederal requirements, any training conducted using r1ASI funds'musl adclress a
<br />pcrformance gap idcntified thruugh either a local training assessmcnt ar an exercise After-Action
<br />Report/Irnprovernent Plan. That gap must be clcarly detined in thc respeetivc project
<br />narrative.
<br />Thc target audience for training caurses includes emergeney Prevention, protection,
<br />respanse, and recovcry personnel, emcrgency managcrs, and publiclelected officials within the
<br />fpllowing disciplines: l?ire service, law enforcement, emergency medical, emergency
<br />rnanagement, public works, public health, health care, public safety comrnunications,
<br />governmental oftices. This includes public and privatc sector disciplines.
<br />The target audience also includes personncl representing functional areas such as critical
<br />jr+frastructure/lcey resource protection including c?yber, agriculture, and iood security. Training
<br />may alsa include prograrns for citizens in preparedness, prevcniion, response skills, and
<br />volunteer activitics; however, that training must be Cvardinaled through ihe loeal C;itizen Corps
<br />Gauncil's program.
<br />Allowablc traineng costs ificlude, but are not )imited tp lhe following:
<br />l, Costs to develop, delivcr, and cvaluate training, to include costs relaled to
<br />administering ihe training; planning, schedtaling, 'laCilities, rnalerials, and
<br />supplies, reprpduction oFinatcrials, and equipment,
<br />2. Qvertimc and baekiill costs associated with attendalice at DHS sponsored and/or
<br />dpprovcd training courses and programs.
<br />3. Costs associatcd with the certification ancl recertificatipn of instructors.
<br />4. Travel cvsts (e.g, airfare, mileage, per diem, hotet) for pcraonnel a.ttcnding
<br />approved training.
<br />5. Hiring of fu11 or part-time staff or cantractors/consultants. Full ar part time staff
<br />may be hired to suppart training-related Activities. F'aymcnr of salarics and fringc

<br />training programs which are defined in their "Fedcral Sponsored Course Catalog" which is

<br />The State aT Ohio has ta date three 17HS-approved courses; WMD Hazmat Awarencss
<br />Gourse, W1V117 Hazmat Operatians Course, and Structural Collapse 4perations Course. !1s
<br />additional courses are approved, caunties.will be promptly notified af those-apportunities.
