FY47 UASI Grant Application <br />UAST grant program activitics. In eithcr case, the hiring of personnel WiIl result in an increase of <br />F1Ts, but cannot resuilt in an increase in the number af F7'F,, positions performing normal <br />operatianal duiies. <br />FY07 C iASI grant funds may not be used to support the ltiring of svvorn public safcty <br />officers for the purposes af fulfilling traditianal public safety duties pr to supplant traditiona] <br />public saFety positians and rLsportsibilities, Gmntees are permitted to hire or laterally move <br />cxisting public sai'ety officers to new positions that support UASi program activities that are <br />allowable under FY07 UASI program guidance. In the case of lateral transfers, grant funds may <br />be used to support only those positipns that arc allowablc under FY07 UASI program guidance; <br />all non-supplanting rules apply, <br />Positipns created and/ar fiinded through previous UASI grants may continuc tp be <br />supported with FY07 UASI funding provided that the positian is dedicated to the samc or similar <br />purpases aIlawable under applicable grant pragram guidanGe. <br />8) Unauthorized Program Expenditures <br />FY07 UASi funds muy not be used for activities unrelated to the cumpletion and <br />irnplementation of the grant progrRm, Further, equipment grant funds awarded under this <br />program m_ ay nal be used to reimbursc costs for equipment procured prior to or af'ler the award <br />performance pcriod. <br />For equipment or aff ce equipment-relatcd costs, grant funds ma not be used for; <br />A) Crcnerdl use software (for basic ward processing, graphics, spreadshccts, etc.); <br />b} (3eneral use camputers and related equiprnent (used for day-to-day office wark <br />. not associatcd ?vith homcland security); <br />c) Gcnerat use vehicles; <br />d) Rcgistration, lnsurAnce, Licensing, and ather fees (not otherwise speCifically <br />allowed in the AEL); <br />e) Weapans systems arid ammunitian and <br />fl Cquipment nat in accardance with the FY07 UASI Authorizcd Equipment T.ist <br />(qEL). <br />Grant funds male no1 suppiant pre'viausly budgeted funds tneant to accumplish the samc tasks, <br />activiticS, purchases, andlor expenses. Also, grant funds will not be used ta pay for Indirect <br />Casts. <br />Grant funds maknot be used as a sdurce of matChing fiinds for othcr state or federal grant <br />programs.
