(ii) Preference in all cases shall be for the <br />sole use of live vegetative growth of species native to <br />the Noitheastern Ohio region, or which, once <br />estabXashed, will not i•equire fiuiher maintenance to <br />sustain them. Species which mature quickl y and <br />whose average life spans coi7elate with the anticipated <br />operational life of the well should be utilized whenever <br />possible The minimum size af ve etat_ion at initiai <br />planting shall be sbecified. <br />(iii) When owing to any peculiar site <br />cazzditions present it is necessarv to use non- <br />vegetative means to accomplish fitll sczeening, <br />preference shall be given to the use of natural materials <br />to accomplish the screening, althoup-h eaithen <br />mounding is to be avoided whenever possible. In such <br />instances live ve eta?t'?ve? growth shail be used in <br />coniunction with such other means to the fullest extent <br />uossible. <br />(iv) In aIi cases, the preference shall be to <br />place the screening as near to the welI site as possible. <br />The pzecise location of screening shall be determined <br />on a case-by-case basis to maximize the screening and <br />minirnize cost to the Surface Owner where practicable. <br />(v? Where an adjacent parcel is not <br />developed nor in fhe pracess of bein dg eveloped, the <br />Surface O-vvner or Permit Holdez• may elect to delay the <br />installation of any screening until such clevelopznent <br />occurs.
