Agreement between Mayfield V'allage and F.O.P. Lodge 57 5ection 30.5. "Hours of service" as used in this section, includes overtime, vacations, holidays, sick leave, and all other approved and paid leaves of absence from service. "Hours of service" does not include the additional compensarion time allowed an employee who works a holiday or has their normal day off on a holiday. ARTICLE 31 EI)UCATIONAL BENEFIT Section 31.1. All permanent full-time employees who ha.ve earned an Associate Degree relating to the field of their employment shall be entitled to additional compensation equal to two percent (2%) of their base pay. All fiill-time employees who ha.ve eamed a Bachelor's Degree related to their field of employrnent shall receive additional compensation equal to four percent (4%) of their base pay. Section 31.2. The compensation provided herein shall be earned on a monthly basis, with payments made in January and July of every year, for the six anonths preceding the payment date. Section 31.3. Should an employee terminate his employment with the V'illage, having accrued a portion of said benefit but not yet having received payment, the prorated amount due the employee will be paid as soon thereafter as may be practical. AR7'ICZE 32 BAC'DATA MASTER PROFIC`IENCYALLOWANCE Section 32.1. Annually, and in accordance with standards set forth by the State of Ohio, Department of Health, in the Ohio Revised Code #3701.143, all bazgaining unit members who have completed their probationary period and who achieve said certification shall be entitled to a payment of $1,350.00 in 2003, $1,400.00 in 2004 and $1,450.00 u12005. Section 32.2. Annually, upon presentation of evidenc,e of satisfactorily completion of said certification, the Chief of Police shall forwazd a letter to the Finance Director authorizing payment to members of the bargaining unit. Such sum shall be paid to the employee in a lump sum separate check as soon as may be practical. Page 27 of 35
