Agreement between Mayfield V'allage and F.O.P. Lodge 57 <br />5ection 30.5. "Hours of service" as used in this section, includes overtime, vacations, holidays, sick <br />leave, and all other approved and paid leaves of absence from service. "Hours of service" does not <br />include the additional compensarion time allowed an employee who works a holiday or has their <br />normal day off on a holiday. <br />ARTICLE 31 <br />EI)UCATIONAL BENEFIT <br />Section 31.1. All permanent full-time employees who ha.ve earned an Associate Degree relating to <br />the field of their employment shall be entitled to additional compensation equal to two percent (2%) of <br />their base pay. All fiill-time employees who ha.ve eamed a Bachelor's Degree related to their field of <br />employrnent shall receive additional compensation equal to four percent (4%) of their base pay. <br />Section 31.2. The compensation provided herein shall be earned on a monthly basis, with payments <br />made in January and July of every year, for the six anonths preceding the payment date. <br />Section 31.3. Should an employee terminate his employment with the V'illage, having accrued a <br />portion of said benefit but not yet having received payment, the prorated amount due the employee will <br />be paid as soon thereafter as may be practical. <br />AR7'ICZE 32 <br />BAC'DATA MASTER PROFIC`IENCYALLOWANCE <br />Section 32.1. Annually, and in accordance with standards set forth by the State of Ohio, <br />Department of Health, in the Ohio Revised Code #3701.143, all bazgaining unit members who <br />have completed their probationary period and who achieve said certification shall be entitled to a <br />payment of $1,350.00 in 2003, $1,400.00 in 2004 and $1,450.00 u12005. <br />Section 32.2. Annually, upon presentation of evidenc,e of satisfactorily completion of said <br />certification, the Chief of Police shall forwazd a letter to the Finance Director authorizing payment to <br />members of the bargaining unit. Such sum shall be paid to the employee in a lump sum separate check <br />as soon as may be practical. <br />Page 27 of 35
