Agreement bdween Mayfield V'sUage and F.O.P. Lodge 57 <br />F. to consider and discuss health and safety matters relating to employees. <br />G. All other matters agrced to between the F.O.P. and the Employers may be added as <br />another topic, which will be discussed at the labor/managemerrt meeting. <br />Section 8.3_ It is fiuther agreed that should special labor managemern meetings be requested and <br />mutually agreed upon, they shall be scheduled as soon after the request as is practical. <br />Section 8.4. The lalior/management committee shall not be used to bypass the normal chain of <br />command, unless the problems are unable to be solved at the depafinental level, or have been <br />previously addressed at the departmernal level without any solutiori <br />Section 8.5. There shall be a time limit not to exceed three (3) hours for said meetings. The parties <br />may, by mutual consent, continue past the time limits established herein. The F.O.P. representatives <br />attending the meeting will be paid their regular hourly rate of pay far the duration of the meeting. <br />Section U. In the evetrt a designee of the Police Chief or Ma.yor is the subject of the <br />labor/managemerrt committee meeting, only the Police Chief or Mayor will be present at such meeting, <br />provided, however, F.O.P. advises the Chief or Ma.yor of the nature of the discussion. <br />ARTICLE 9 <br />SEIVIORITY <br />Section 9.1_ Definition of Seniority: Seniority shall, for the purpose of this Agreement, be defined <br />as an employee's length of continuous full-time senrice since his last date of hire, less any adjustments <br />due to layoff and approved leaves of absence without pay. <br />Sechon 9.2. Determination of Seniority for Same Day H'ires: Seniority shall be computed from <br />the date of appointment. ff mare than one person is hired on the same date then that person occupying <br />the highest position on the Civil Seivice appointmetrt list shall receive seniority preference. <br />Section 9.3. Termination _of Seniority: Seniority and the employment relationship shall be <br />terminated when an employee: <br />1. resigns; or <br />2. is discharged for just cause, or <br />3. is absent for three (3) consecutive working days without notifying the Employer, or <br />without good cause, wiless he is physically unable to do so; or <br />Page 6 of 35
