Agreement between Mayfield V'illage and F.O.P. Lodge 57 THIS AGR:EFdVE'NT, made and entered into on the date hereina.fter set forth but effective as of January 1, 2003, by and between MAYFIEI D VII,LAGE, OHIO, hereinafter referred to as the "EIvIPLOYER", and the FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE, LOI)GE #57, MAYFIELD VII.,LAGE DYVISION, hereinafter referred to as the "FOP". ARTICLE I PURPOSL Section 1.1. The purposes of this Agreement are to provide a fair and reasonable method by which employees covered by this agreement can participate through their exclusive bargaining agerrtt in the establishment of terms and conditions of their employment, to provide for the effective and efficient operation of the V'illage government, and to establish an orderly procedure for the resolution of differences between the Employer and the members of the bargaining unit. ART'ICLE 2 U1 VI O N RE C O G1 V I T l 0N Section Bml. The EMPLOYER recognizes the F.O.P., Lodge #57, MAYFIELD VII..LAGE DIVISION, as the sole and exclusive representative for those employees of the Employer in the bargaining units listed in Section 2.2. VJhenever used in this Agreement, the term "bazgaining unit(s)" shall be deemed to include those full-time employees employed by the Employer, in a classification listed as appropriate to -a bazgaining unit. 'I'he parties recognize and agree that this Agreement constitutes a multiple unit Agreement and, unless eliminated specifically by clause, a11 provisions of the Agreement apply equally to both units. Section 2.2. The term "bargaining unit" shall be defined as follows: Baruaining Unit A: All swom Patrol Officers. Bargaining Unit B: All sworn Sergeants and Lieutenants. Section 2.3. All positions and classifications not specifically stated herein as being included in the bargaining units shall be excluded from the bargaining units. Page 1 of 35
