Agreement between Mayfte[d V'?llage and F.O.P. Lodge 57 ARTICLE 3 A GENC Y SH O P/D UE S D ED U C T I O N Section 3.1. Upon the effective date of this agreement, or within thiriy (30) days thereafter, a11 employees in the bazgaining unit shall either become due-paying members of the F.O.P., or, as a condition of continued employment, remit to the F.O.P., a fair share fee, to be deternuned in accord with the provisions of Ohio Revised Code Section 4117.09 (C). Any newly hired employees in the bargaining wut shall, upon completion of sixty (60) days of employment with the Employer, either elect to become members of the F.O.P. or remit the fair share fee. Nothing in this Article shall be deemed to require any employees to become a member of the F.O.P. The payment of union dues or a fair share fee does not in any way affect the Employer's rights as detailed in Article 7 below. Section 3.2. The Employer agrees to deduct F.O.P. dues from any F.O.P. member of the bargaining unit who provides written authorization for a payroll dues deduction. Fair share fees shall be deducted pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 4117.09 (C) and the F.O.P. shall indemnify the Employer and hold it harmless against any and all clairns, demands, suits or other liability tha,t may arise by reason of any action of the Employer in complying with the provisions of this Article. Deductions for dues and fair share fces will be made at least on a monthly basis, and paid to Treasurer, F.O.P. Lodge #57 (Mayfield Village Division), with the Employer providing a list of those employees for whom dues and fair share fee deductions ha,ve been made. Section 3.3. A check in the amount of the total dues withheld from those employees authorizing a dues deduction shall be tendered to the Treasurer of the F.O.P. witWn fifteen (15) da.ys from the date of making said deductions.
