RESOLUTION NO. 2000-03 <br />PAGE TWO <br />SECTION 3. That the Mayor and this Council urge each Federal and State elected <br />representative serving in this Village to investigate the underlying causes for the closure <br />of the hospital in the City of Richmond Heights and other hospitals in the Cleveland area <br />and to assist the City of Richmond Heights to maintain or restore a full service hospital in <br />the City of Richmond Heights <br />SECTION 4. The Clerk of Council is hereby requested to transmit a copy of this <br />Resolution to PHS, The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, University Hospitals, and each <br />Federal and State elected representative serving the City of Richmond Heights. <br />SECTION 5. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this <br />Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 6. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents <br />of Mayfield Village.
