-~ ORDINANCE NO. 2000- 12 <br />~„ INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />CREATING CHAPTER 955 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES <br />RELATING TO DRAINAGE AND INFRASTRUCTURE <br />WHEREAS, the Village has over the years experienced numerous drainage and <br />infrastructure issues which require the Village attention even when on private property; and <br />WHEREAS, it is understood that drainage and infrastructure situations and <br />conditions can result in damage to the public sidewalks, public rights of way, and pose a <br />threat to the health, safety and welfare of the residents and users of public property; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to create a drainage and infrastructure <br />committee, and to fund the committee to a limited degree, for the purpose of assessing and <br />addressing drainage and infrastructure conditions which require improvement throughout <br />the Village of Mayfield. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That there is hereby and herein created Chapter 955 of the Codified <br />Ordinances, establishing a drainage and infrastructure committee, and designating its <br />purpose, composition, and funding, as indicated in Exhibit A, attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio.
