May 18 00 03:47p Diemert & Associates [440]442-0825 p.2 <br />5/17/2000 <br />Chapter 955. <br />Drainage and Infrastructure <br />955.01 Purpose: To investigate, evaluate and prioritize requests for surface drainage <br />and infrastructure improvements. <br />955.02 Infrastructure Improvements:. Infrastructure improvements include but are not <br />limited to area drains and associated piping, driveway culvert pipe, drain the and other <br />storm and sanitary water piping. <br />955.03 Drainage Improvements: Drainage improvements include but are not limited to <br />swales to control the flow of surface water, the removal of earth, and other physical <br />obstructions to the flow of surface water. The installation of piping to control water flow. <br />The redefining of existing swales and waterways. The control of erosion along existing <br />ditches and streams. The maintenance of existing swales and area basins. <br />955.04 Draina a and Infrastructure Committee <br />The drainage and infrastructure committee shall consist of the Service Director, <br />Building Commissioner, Village Engineer, two (2) Village Residents appointed by the ~~~ <br />Mayor, and three (3) at large Council Members. Only the 2 Village Residents and 3 <br />Council Members shall be voting members on this Committee. <br />955.05 Project Evaluations and Priority <br />Evaluation and priority of projects shall be made by the Drainage and <br />Infrastructure Committee according to the fallowing criteria: <br />1. Total estimated cost of project. <br />2. The effect of the project to the residents. <br />3. Partnerships with resident or residents for project costs. <br />4. Any downstream effects of the project. <br />5. The urgency of corrective measures. <br />Requests by a resident or residents for drainage and/or infrastructure <br />improvements shall be in writing. Such requests shall outline problems and needed <br />improvements, partnerships with the Village, other neighbors, and the urgency for <br />correction. The Drainage and Infrastructure Committee shall review all requests in the <br />order received. <br />The Drainage and Infrastructure Committee shall limit any one project to <br />$10,000. Projects that serve multiple improvements may exceed $10,000 if specifically <br />approved by Council. <br /> <br />
