Upon request of the Owner, the <br />Architect shall submit fur tht Owner's approval a schedule for <br />the performat)ce of [hc Architect s services which tray be <br />adjusted as the Protect proceeds, and shall include allowances <br />for puiads of time required for the O~vntr's review and for <br />approval of submissions by authorities having jurisdiction over <br />the Project. Time limits established by this schedule apptvvcd <br />by the Owner shaD not, except for reasonable cause, be exceeded <br />by the Architect or Owner. <br />1.1.3 The Sct~ices covcrt:d by this Agreement arc subject to <br />the time limltadons contained in 5ubpangnph t t.5.t. <br />AfITICLE 2 <br />SCOPE OF ARCHITECT'S BASIC SERVICES <br />2.1 DEFlNtT10N <br />Z.1.1 The Architect s Basic Services consist of those de.Scrlbed <br />in Paragraphs 2.2 through Z.6 and any other services identified <br />in Anicle 12 as part of Basic Services, and include normal struc- <br />tural, mechanical and electrical engineering services. <br />2.2 SCHEMATIC DESIGN PHASE <br />Z.2.1 The Architect shall review [hc progr:un furnished by the <br />Owner to ascertain the requirements of the Project and shall <br />arrive at a mutual undcrstantling of such requirements with dze <br />Owner. <br />222 The Architect shall provide a preliminary evaluation of <br />the Owner's program, sehedule and ctnstruction budget <br />requiremrnts, rich in terms of the ocher, subject co the limits- <br />bons sec forth in Subparagraph 5.2.1. <br />Z.2.3 The Architect shall review with the Owner alternative <br />approaches ro design and construction of the Project. <br />Z.2.4 Based on the mutually agreed-upon program, schedule <br />and eonsrcuCtiun budget ccquircmcnts, the Architect shall <br />prepare, for approval by the Owner, Schematic Design Doty- <br />ments Consisting of drawings and other documenU illt]stratiet>;
