Collective Bargaining Agreement between <br />Mayfield Village and the I.A.F.F. Loca12619 <br />Section 14.6. All written grievances must contain the following information to be considered: <br />1. aggrieved employee's name and signature; <br />2. aggrieved employee's classification; <br />3. date grievance was first discussed and name of supervisor; <br />4. date grievance is being filed in writing; <br />5. date and time grievance occurred; <br />6. where grievance occurred; <br />7. description of incident giving rise to the grievance; <br />8. specific articles and sections of the Agreement violated; and <br />9. desired remedy to resolve the grievance. <br />Section 14.7. A grievance, under this procedure, may be brought by any member of the <br />bargaining unit. Where a group of bargaining unit members desire to file a grievance involving <br />a situation affecting more than one (1) member of the bargaining unit in a similar manner, one <br />(1) member selected by such group will process the grievance. <br />Section 14.8. The time limit for initiating a grievance involving an allegation of an error or <br />omission in pay begins on the date the paycheck which contains the alleged error or omission <br />is received by the employee. <br />Section 14.9. Any grievance that originates from level above the first step of the grievance <br />procedure may be submitted directly to the step from which it originates. <br />Section 14.10. T'he time limitations provided in the Article may be extended by written <br />mutual agreement between the Employer and the Union. <br />Section 14.11. It is the mutual desire of the Employer and the Union to provide for prompt <br />adjustrnent of grievances with a minimum amount of interruption of the work schedule. Every <br />responsible effort shall be made by the Employer and the Union to affect the resolution of <br />grievances at the earliest step possible. In furtherance of this objective, the following <br />procedure shall be followed: <br />Step 1- Informal Step: An employee having a grievance will first bring that <br />complaint verbally, within seven (7) calendar days of the incident giving rise to the <br />grievance, or within seven (7) calendar days of his first knowledge of the action or <br />event, (not to exceed thirty (30) calendar days from the date of the action or event), to <br />the attention of the employee's immediate supervisor.
