Collective BargainingAgreement between <br />Mayfteld Vllage and the I.A.F.F. Loca12619 <br />Section 27.4. Whenever difFerent or additional uniforms are required due to promotion, the <br />Municipality shall purchase those items for which receipted bills are presented together with an <br />approval for payment from the Chief. <br />Section 27.5. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to reimburse all Union members of the <br />Fire Department for expenditures made in accordance with Sections 27.1, 27.2, 27.3 and 27.4 <br />hereinabove, provided, however, that receipted bills evidencing the purchase are submitted <br />together with an approval for payment by the Fire Chief. Once approved expense forms are <br />received in the Finance Department, the Finance Director is further authorized to make such <br />distributions in the following aecounts payable check run in June and December for the <br />expenditures made during the calendar year. If the Village cannot make the purchase directly, <br />and employees are required to do so, then they shall be reimbursed any sales tax incurred. <br />ARTICLE 28 <br />VACATION <br />Section 28.1. An Employee hired January 1 St through March 31 S', shall be entitled to forty-eight <br />(48) hours (two (2) tours) vacation time; April lst through June 30th, shall be entitled to thirty-six <br />(36) hours (one (1) tour and twelve hours) vacation time; July lst through September 30th, shall <br />be entitled to twenty-four (24) hours (1 tour) of vacation; and October l st through December 31 St, <br />shall be entitled to twelve (12) hours (1/2 tour) of vacation. For the purpose of computing <br />vacation time, all employees shall be considered to be in his/her second year of employment on <br />January 1 St of the year following his year of employrnent. <br />Section 28.2. All vacation time shall be credited to an employee on January lst of each year and <br />employees may take their vacation at any time within the calendar year, subject to the approval <br />of the head of the department. <br />Section 28.3. In the event an employee voluntarily leaves his employment prior to December <br />31 St of any year, his vacation time for that year shall be prorated pursuant to the following <br />formula: <br />Accrued Vacation Davs x Number of Days of the year = Vacation Days Earned <br />365 already passed <br />In the event an employee has already taken more vacation time than that to which he is entitled at <br />the time he gives notice that he is voluntarily terminating his employment, Mayfield Village <br />shall have the right to withhold all amounts otherwise owed the employee to the extent necessary <br />to reimburse the Employer. <br />Section 28.4. Vacations shall not be cumulative, but must be taken within the year earned. Any <br />vacation not taken within the year earned shall be forfeited unless specific permission to <br />carryover vacation time is obtained, in writing from the Mayor. Vacation time approved for <br />carryover is to be used in full by June 301h the following year or it is subject to forfeit.
