Agreement between Mayfield Yillage and F.O.P Lodge 57 <br />ARTICLE 26 <br />HOLIDAYS <br />Section 26.1. Effective at the beginning of each year, all members of the bargaining unit shall <br />receive the following paid holidays: <br />Neiv Year's Day Thanksgiving Day <br />Meimorial Day Friday after Thanksgiving <br />Independence Day Day before Christmas <br />Labor Day Christmas Day <br /> Six (6) Personal Days <br />Section 26.2. All members of the bargaining unit shall receive one hundred twelve (112) hours <br />of holiday time on January lst as compensation for the holidays listed in Section 26.1. This <br />holiday tirrie shall be taken on a day during the calendar year to be picked by the employee with <br />the prior approval of the Chief of Police or Executive Officer, except that the Village retains the <br />right to scELedule the use of holiday time on the holidays stated in Section 26.1. <br />Section 26.3. Any new member of the bargaining unit shall be entitled to holiday hours in his or <br />her first year of employment in accordance with their date of hire as follows: <br />January 1 through March 31: 112 hours <br />April 1 through June 30: 84 hours <br />July 1 through September 30: 56 hours <br />October 1 through December 31: 28 hours <br />Section 2E?.4. If an employee is required to work on the holidays set forth in Section 26.1 <br />(excluding the six (6) personal days), he shall be paid one and one-half (1-1/2) times his regular <br />rate for all hours worked. <br />Section 261.5. All members of the bargaining unit who work the majority of a shift on a holiday <br />shall be compensated for the entire shift in accordance with the holiday pay provisions set forth <br />in Section 26.4. <br />Section 26_6. Any unused holiday time accrued during the calendar year and not taken by <br />December 31St shall be taken in pay. Such pay is to be made in the first pay period of the <br />following :fanuary. <br />Section 26.7. In the event an employee voluntarily leaves his employment prior to December 31St <br />of any yeair, his holiday time for that year shall be prorated pursuant to the following formula: <br />24
