Agreement betweeta Mayfreld Vilinge and F.O.P Lodge 57 <br />employee c?n a twelve (12) hour shift will have twelve (12) hours deducted from his accumulated <br />vacation tirne. <br />ARTICLE 25 <br />UNIFORMALLOWAlejCE <br />Section 25.1. All newly hired probationary employees shall receive, at the Employer's expense, <br />all items as listed on the Schedule on file with the Police Chief and previously approved by the <br />Mayor andl Council. There shall not be additional uniform allowance during the first year of <br />employmeilt for newly hired employees. These items shall be paid by the Finance Department <br />upon submittal of receipts signed and approved by the Police Chief. All items purchased shall be <br />surrendere(i to the Employer if the employee fails to complete the probationary period. <br />Section 25.2. During the term of this agreement, all non-probationary employees shall receive an <br />annual uni:Eorm purchase and maintenance allowance in the amount of $900.00 in 2014, $925.00 <br />in 2015 ani3 $950.00 in 2016. <br />Section 25.3. Whenever different or additional uniform items are required due to promotion of a <br />full-time niember of the Police Department, the Employer shall purchase those items for which <br />bills are presented together with an approval for payment from the Police Chief. <br />Section 25.4. Effective with the ratification of this contract, any employee who has a Village <br />purchased ballistic vest which is older than five (5) years old may be eligible to be reimbursed up <br />to an amotint mutually agreed upon by the Village and the F.O.P. for replacement cost of a new <br />vest. However, should the officer receiving the vest terminate employment with the Village <br />within iwo years after receiving the vest, he will return the vest and the Village will refund the <br />officer his or her contribution. <br />Section 25.5 In the event an employee voluntarily leaves his employment prior to December 31 st <br />of any year, his uniform allowance for that year shall be prorated pursuant to the following <br />formula: <br />Uniform A.llowance multiplied by Number of Days equals Allowance Due <br />36)5 of the year Passed <br />The prorata uniform allowance will be paid on the reimbursement basis per Section 25.2 and will <br />be paid with the following uniform allowance check run. <br />23
