"~ Questions <br />Q: On page 5 would the Village consider making the renewal option mutual? <br />A: The Village has revised the terms in the bid documents to a term of five years with no option years. <br />Q: On page 6 would the Village consider putting a place on page 15 (Bid Form 3) for the replacement cost for <br />64 gallon recycling containers if more than 50 need replaced in one year? Also, is the contractor only <br />responsible for the replacement of recycling carts that are lost or stolen? <br />A: The cost to the Village to replace the 64 gallon recycle carts after 50 in one year will be the same price as <br />the price bid on Bid Form 3 -Price for Additional Cart -Indicate the price to be charged if a resident requests <br />an additional cart per Section II. A. The contractor is responsible for the replacement of recycling carts that are <br />lost or stolen, as well as any that~are broken that cannot be repaired, as stated in Section II. A., Paragraph 3. <br />Q: Page 7, would the Village consider stating in an addendum that passenger tires will be collected, mention a <br />set number of tires per residence each week and that rims must be taken off tires. <br />A: The Village has decided to manage the collection of scrap tires and has removed the requirement that the <br />Contractor collect and recycle scrap tires from Section II. A. <br />Q: Page 8 item D. please add that at the Community Room, 6621 Wilson Mills that recyclable materials are <br />collected by hand one time per week (our computer does not show a cart there) and at 770 SOM Center Road <br />the Fire Station also has a 65 gallon recycling cart serviced one time per week. <br />A: The container service mentioned at the Fire Station location will be added to Section II. D., Table 2: Current <br />Container Services. The Village collects a small amount of recyclables, if any, from the Community Room. <br />Q: Are any alternate bids allowed? <br />e} A: The Village will consider alternate bids. <br />Q: Please clarify the required Performance Bond amount, on page 12 it states; Performance Bond will be issued <br />annually for each contract year during the term of the contract, including any option years, in the amount <br />equal to the total annual cost of collection for contract year one. Then on page 32 it states Performance Bond <br />of $500,000 annually is required. <br />A: The required Performance Bond amount is $500,000 annually, as stated in Exhibit B, Article V. <br />Q: How many times was the 40 yard container at the Service Garage picked up and what were the weights? <br />A: See attachment <br />Q: Can you provide the number of Freon containing items that are picked up curbside? <br />A: No. The current contractor does not track the number of Freon appliances picked up. Most are taken before <br />they have an opportunity to pick them up from the curb. <br />Q: Can you provide a copy of the fuel adjustment table in the current contract? <br />A: Yes. See attachment <br />Q: Will the Village provide the current route sheets? <br />A: Yes. See attachment. <br />
