_ (a) All individuals or groups using the ~^^~^• r^^+^~ ~^'' Community Room shall agree to hold the <br />Village, together with its public officials and employees, harmless from any liability in connection with <br />loss of life, personal injury or damage to property arising from or out of the use of the Community Room <br />and shall be required to sign a written agreement so stating. <br />(b) The cost of repairing any damage to the facility or its contents shall be charged directly to the <br />permit holder, whether an individual or an organization, in occupancy at the time of the damage. <br />(c) For any event at which there is alcohol being served, or there is expected seventy-five or more <br />individuals, the permit holder shall retain the services of a uniformed police officer and shall be solely <br />responsible for paying for that service. Police officers hired for this purpose shall be commissioned by <br />the Village as a police officer or auxiliary police officer. The police officer shall remain on duty <br />throughout the scheduled event and shall not leave the premises until the building is empty and <br />secured. <br />(Ord. 94-46. Passed 9-19-94.) <br />155.05 USE OF THE COMMUNITY ROOM. <br />(a) The Village shall not be responsible for any damage to any property.that an individual or group <br />brings into the Community Room Building to display, exhibitor use, regardless of the cause, nor shall the <br />Municipality be liable to any group for any loss by theft. All articles shall be removed at the end of each <br />use and cannot remain overnight. <br />(b) The Community Room shall be checked by a Village official or employee after a scheduled event, <br />no later than the morning after a schedule event. <br />(Ord. 84-45. Passed 2-18-85.) <br />155.06 FEE SCHEDULE. <br />(a) The fees for Village residents and organizations, and for non-residents and organizations, shall be <br />set by the Mayor. Such fees shall include a rental permit fee and apotentially-refundable damage <br />deposit. <br />(b) The following groups and individuals are eligible to use the Community Room for municipal <br />purposes without charge: Village-based organizations or institutions which are of nonprofit, charitable, <br />or civic nature including, but not limited to, Council, Village officials, boards, commissions, and Council <br />committees and commissions and any other similar type group or individual designated by the Mayor. <br />(Ord. 92-25.
